Mitch Kuhn (he/him)

Fix-It Kid Energy,
Creative Director Impact

Hi, I’m Mitch — a creative director with a builder’s mindset, a love for people, and a habit of going all-in. I help teams turn “we’re not sure where to start” into “we know what to do next,” using design to solve real problems and create work that works — for users, businesses, and the people behind the scenes.

I started as a fix-it kid — taking things apart to see how they worked and (sometimes) putting them back together. That same curiosity drives me today. Whether I’m leading a brand refresh, a digital product build, or mentoring a designer through their first big project, I care about getting it right — and making the process collaborative, fun, and purposeful along the way.

I’ve spent the past 12+ years building brands and digital experiences that are as strategic as they are creative. Right now, I co-lead the creative team at Stoltz Marketing Group, where I focus on UX/UI design, integrated brand campaigns, accessible systems, and people-first leadership. I’m not the creative director you call for detailed hand illustrations — but I am the one who will bring clarity, direction, and thoughtful, scalable ideas to the table.

I believe:

  • Design starts with empathy and a strong point of view

  • Great ideas get better when you “yes, and”

  • Strategy matters as much as style

  • Technology should feel like collaboration, not friction

  • A solid process is gold — and so is knowing when to change it

  • Creativity is a team sport

  • Stakeholders deserve to feel included in the work, not just see it at the end

  • If I’m not proud, it’s not done

Call me when:

I’m the person people call when they’re stuck — when a project’s messy or undefined, or when it’s time to scale something that’s working. I love helping teams take bold ideas and turn them into work that resonates and endures.

A few more:

I’m a connector at heart. I believe half the battle is knowing where to start—and who to call. I believe Black lives matter. People of all genders deserve equity. I have a toddler, a dog, and a deep love for the San Francisco Giants. I try out voices while reading bedtime stories, and yes, that carries over to reading copy in presentations—can’t help myself.
